Real-time position sharing
Watchers see your current location, route traced so far, and live stats — updated continuously as you move.
Share a link, no account required
Generate a share link from within a recording and send it to anyone. They open it in a browser — no TrailWise sign-up needed.
Signal loss detection
If you lose GPS or mobile signal, TrailWise marks the event on the map so watchers know you're in a dead zone — not in trouble.
How it works
Start a GPS recording
Open the TrailWise app and begin a hike recording as normal.
Tap 'Share live'
In the active recording screen, tap the share button to generate a unique live-session link.
Send the link
Copy and send the link to friends or family via message, WhatsApp, or any app — they just open it in a browser.
They follow in real time
Watchers see a live map with your position, the route you've traced, elapsed time, distance, and elevation gain.
