  • Drop Pin anywhere

Tap anywhere on the map to drop a pin and instantly surface trails starting near that point — great for planning from a car park or meeting spot.

  • Multi-metric ratings & filters

Filter by minimum star rating, elevation gain range, distance, and difficulty. Sort by popularity, highest rated, or shortest first.

  • Personalised homepage

Your discover feed shows recommendations based on your hiking history, trails from fell groups you're working through, and a top-rated section updated daily.

How it works

  1. Browse or drop a pin

Use Near Me to find trails around your current location, or drop a pin anywhere on the map to search from a custom point.

  2. Narrow with filters

Filter by difficulty, distance range, elevation gain, minimum rating, or fell group. Sort by popularity, rating, or shortest first.

  3. Check the detail

View the full route polyline on the map alongside elevation profile, estimated duration, and aggregate ratings across five dimensions.

  4. Save and rate

Bookmark trails to your wishlist, then rate them across five metrics after your hike to help the next hiker know what to expect.

The detail

  • Location

    Near Me & Drop Pin

Near Me auto-activates when location permission is already granted. Drop Pin lets you click anywhere on the map to search from a custom point — a car park, village, or summit.

  • Filters

    Difficulty & distance

Filter by difficulty, from easy to very hard, combined with a min/max distance range in kilometres. Filters stack — narrow from any angle.

  • Elevation

    Elevation gain range

Set a minimum or maximum elevation gain in metres to surface short valley walks or serious ridge days — whatever suits your energy.

  • Quality

    Minimum rating & sort

Set a star threshold to only show well-reviewed trails. Sort by popularity, highest rated, or shortest first independently of other filters.

  • Groups

    Fell group filter

Filter trails by fell group — Wainwrights, Munros, Corbetts, and more. Groups you're actively working through are highlighted for quick access.

  • Personalised

    Recommended for You

Your recommendations are matched to your typical hike distance, preferred difficulty, and the regions where you're most active.

  • Progress

    Continue Your Journey

Fell groups you've started appear at the top of your discover feed with a progress bar, so you always know where you left off.

  • Wishlist

    Saved trails

Bookmarked routes live in your profile, ready to turn into a Trip whenever the weather cooperates.
